Requirements for Allan Gray Scholarship for Grade 8

Our Scholarship Programme targets financially constrained Grade 6 learners who have significant entrepreneurial potential. Their 70% overall academic average allows them to apply for the opportunity to be placed in a quality South African High School environment for learning and growth. Their potential is nurtured through a programme which combines classroom learning with online and peers learning, as well as one-on-one interventions and access to the Foundation Online Campus (OLC). Scholars are further supported through mentorship by a dedicated Programme Officer.

Ensure you meet the following requirements before applying:

1. Scholarship Application Form 2021
2. Completing Grade 6 in 2021
3. Minimum average of 70%
4. Minimum average of 70% for Mathematics and English
5. Clearly demonstrate financial need (Household income must not exceed a monthly gross income of R20 000)
6. South African citizen
7. Candidates must not be older than 12 years of age and not younger than 11 years of age in grade 6
8. Certified copies of ALL required documentation
9. Active cellphone number for SMS notifications of application status
